Splenomegaly (without hepatomegaly)

This gentleman has been found to be anaemic. Examine his abdomen. Isolated splenomegaly. What investigations would you request? What are the causes of splenomegaly? What are the causes of hepatosplenomegaly? How do you know it’s the spleen and not the left kidney? What other infections can cause splenomegaly?
